Application of steel wire braided rubber hose in automobiles
Time:2022-11-09Page views:2457In automotive applications, steel wire braided rubber hoses are pipelines for transporting gases, commonly used in gas cutting, gas welding, plasma arc welding, various gas shielded welding and cutting, etc. The applications in automobiles mainly include connecting engine and air filter, engine and radiator system, automobile air conditioning system, etc. As a part of the air intake system, it is close to the engine, so it needs to be resistant to high temperature, oil, corrosion, aging and low temperature. According to different processing techniques, there are also many types of manufacturing materials. Because each type of rubber has its own characteristics, the material selection of the hose is particularly important.
Maintenance and use:
1. Proper use is important for determining the required length of the hose, ensuring that the usage conditions of the hose meet the selected requirements, and carefully determining the values of working pressure and suction. Especially if the pressure suddenly changes or exceeds the allowable pressure peak, the lifespan will be shortened, and the two ends of the hose cannot always penetrate into the conveyed material.
2. The installation radius of the hose should be greater than the specified value. If the bending radius is less than the specified value, the service life of the hose will be greatly shortened. Therefore, it is recommended to check the usage data, especially the bending radius, before installation.
3. The steel wire braided rubber hose experiences significant pressure during use and requires inspection after use to ensure there is no structural damage. When the outer layer of the hose comes into contact with the conveyed liquid for a long time, it is recommended to conduct a hydrostatic test.
Production process:
1. Mix the colloid through a formula to obtain inner layer glue, middle layer glue, and outer layer glue. The inner layer glue should be coated on a soft or hard core coated with a release agent.
2. Pressed into a middle rubber sheet by a rolling machine, rolled with a separating agent, and cut into the specified width according to the process requirements.
3. Wrap or weave copper plated steel wire around the inner tube containing the core, while wrapping the middle layer of rubber sheet between the two layers of copper plated steel wire, and tying the ends of the wrapped steel wire.
4. Cover with another layer of outer adhesive, and then wrap lead or cloth with a vulcanized protective layer.
5. Sulfurization tank or salt bath vulcanization.
6. Remove the sulfurized protective layer, extract the core, fasten the pipe joint, take a sample, press and send it for inspection.
Steel wire braided rubber hoses have many uses, such as in engines and air filters, engine and radiator systems, automotive air conditioning systems, etc. They are mainly made of plastic or thermoplastic elastomers.
