2、 Types and selection of vulcanizing agents

Vulcanization is a key step in the production of rubber products, which forms cross-linked structures between rubber molecular chains, thereby endowing rubber products with necessary physical properties. The choice of vulcanizing agent directly affects the vulcanization efficiency and product quality:

1. Sulfur vulcanization system: suitable for most general rubbers such as NR, SBR, etc., with fast vulcanization speed and low cost, but relatively poor heat resistance.

2. Peroxide vulcanization system: suitable for saturated rubber, such as EPR/EPDM, which can provide higher heat resistance and aging resistance, but the vulcanization speed is slow and the cost is high.

3. Resin vulcanization system: mainly used for polar rubber such as NBR, with mild vulcanization conditions, can achieve good physical properties and oil resistance.

4. Metal salt sulfurization system: such as cadmium salt, zinc salt, etc., used for specific high-performance requirements, such as high temperature resistance, radiation resistance, etc., but with high environmental requirements and limited use.

3、 Process control

The manufacturing process of steel wire braided rubber hoses is complex, involving multiple stages such as extrusion, braiding, vulcanization, etc. Each stage requires strict quality control:

1. Extrusion process: Accurately control the extrusion temperature and speed to ensure uniform and bubble free rubber material, while ensuring that the thickness of the adhesive layer meets the design requirements.

2. Weaving process: Using high-strength steel wire, weaving at specific angles and densities to enhance the pressure bearing capacity and tensile strength of the rubber hose. During the weaving process, it is necessary to monitor the tension to avoid wire breakage or relaxation.

3. Sulfurization process: Set reasonable vulcanization temperature, time, and pressure based on the rubber formula and type of vulcanizing agent. During the vulcanization process, it is necessary to closely monitor the changes in the vulcanization curve to ensure complete and non excessive vulcanization, in order to obtain the required comprehensive performance.

4. Post treatment: The vulcanized rubber hose needs to undergo cooling, edge removal, inspection and other processes. Especially in terms of appearance inspection and performance testing (such as pressure testing, burst testing, etc.), ensure that each rubber hose meets the specified standards.
