The reasons for the failure of the mining wire braided rubber hose assembly and intermediate joint assembly are summarized as follows:

(1) The software of the hydraulic press system is not good, and a three gear pump or a five gear pump is used. High rated working pressure, large total flow rate, high working pressure, and easy fatigue damage to pipeline components. Especially for the main liquid supply pipeline, when working under single pulse high pressure conditions for a long time, the common failure probability of weak points in the rubber hose, such as sealing rings, U-shaped clamps, joints, etc., is much higher than the frequency of common failures in the high-pressure rubber hose inside the support frame. Because the latter type of high-pressure hose only bears high pressure when the support frame is in a posture, its effectiveness is short-lived, and the common fault principles are different.

(2) Emulsified communication oil has low privacy, high density, and poor corrosion resistance. Especially the pH values of different mine water bodies vary greatly, and the management methods in application are not rigorous. Mining emulsified oil usually does not meet the required water oil ratio. Vulcanized rubber soaked in this material for a long time will mold, harden, and become brittle.

(3) Due to the application characteristics of mining machinery and equipment, the cleanliness of materials is low, and there is a lot of steam driven by materials. On the one hand, it is very prone to cavitation. When cavitation occurs, the high working pressure can exceed 1GPa. On the other hand, high-speed and high flow emulsified oil drives small residues to impact the inner surface of the pipeline and joint components, plowing out a series of grooves and causing metal wire drawing corrosion. The damage to the inner limb layer of the high-pressure hose accelerates the erosion of the fixed length steel wire mesh of the rubber hose, reducing the compressive strength of the high-pressure hose. (5) The processing plants that manufacture steel wire braided rubber hose assemblies and intermediate joints are mostly small and medium-sized enterprises, constrained by technical standards, machinery and equipment, assets and other standards, and some even do not follow the processing technology requirements of engineering drawings for production and processing. The rubber hose assembly and pipeline accessories do not meet technical standards, resulting in uneven product quality, low compressive strength, short cycle, serious environmental pollution, and posing safety hazards for sudden safety production accidents.

The incorrect arrangement of the high-pressure hose causes it to be subjected to additional external forces (tension and torque) for a long time, thereby reducing the service life of the hose assembly.

(7) Application of failed pipeline components beyond their service life. Due to the inability to detect and distinguish whether the steel wire braided rubber hose and pipeline components have failed or reached their service life, many components on site have exceeded their service life (according to overseas requirements, it is only reasonable for high-pressure hoses to be manufactured after one year). This type of high-pressure hose is usually prone to failure throughout the entire usage process, leading to an increase in equipment failure rate.
